Ashwin is Chief Executive Officer of CyBourn. Under Ashwin’s leadership, CyBourn has grown from a start-up to a cybersecurity leader with a razor focus on protecting clients through a state-of-the-art Security Operations Center (SOC). He oversees CyBourn’s business strategy and market expansion. Ashwin has extensive experience consulting with Fortune 100, Fortune 500, and NGOs to uncover innovative and practical solutions for driving sustainable competitive advantage and transform progressive organisations. Ashwin has published papers on a variety of topics, has been interviewed by several publications, often speaks at conferences, and is a chapter contributor and editor for two books. Having lived in five countries and travelled to over twenty-five countries, Ashwin has a global background and an acute sense of cultural diversity. Ashwin has a Masters degree from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Toronto.
Daniel is the COO of CyBourn. Daniel has led engagements serving heads of state, Fortune 100 companies, and global organisations to ideate and implement critical strategic and technological solutions making a major impact on important industry issues including cybersecurity, health, travel, technology, education, violent extremism, environment, international development, and governance. His work with organisations such as the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA), numerous specialised UN agencies (including UNHCR, WMO, UNDP, World Bank, IMF, WHO, UNOPS, IOM, UNICEF, etc), The Smithsonian Institution, Politico, BBC Worldwide, Brand USA, United States Institute of Peace, Google, and the National Endowment for the Arts has made a major impact in businesses, organisations, and governance areas. Daniel drives CyBourn’s vision and oversees its worldwide operations discovering unseen opportunities, solving systemic problems, and bringing new initiatives to market. He is regularly in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States. His unique vision is driven by a passion for innovation, technology, and results. His technical and strategic understanding with a world view on issues empowers him as highly skilled at exploiting ideas that create true value for CyBourn and CyBourn’s clients far beyond their goals.
Catalin is the CTO of CyBourn. Catalin leads the SOC engineering team, software development team and advises the DreamLab team. Prior to joining CyBourn, Catalin worked at ING bank, focusing on cyber fraud and risk mitigation. Catalin was also part of the Romanian National CERT team – CERT-RO, where he supervised computer security incident management flow, from first response to forensic analysis and remediation. During his years with CERT-RO, he was also involved in the development of custom software systems including the National Cyber Security Early Warning Infrastructure.
Jeffrey Schaeffer is the Vice President of Sales for CyBourn. With an extensive and successful 25-year career in data center and cyber security enterprise sales, his business development efforts have focused a wide portfolio of services including XDR, infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), enterprise cloud computing, security management, IT infrastructure assessments, and data center migrations. Jeff has a long history of establishing strong channel partnerships in the industry. Jeff has held Senior Director level positions with global companies, including Core Site and Expedient. Jeff has been awarded the privilege of attending prestigious President’s Club events on multiple occasions as a result of his unparalleled service and commitment to improving the overall effect cyber security services have on businesses.
Salvatore is part of the founding team and leads CyBourn’s DreamLab. Sal develops cutting-edge security solutions including Machine Learning algorithms that catalyse the analysis power of CyBourn’s SOC team. Salvatore spearheads the DreamLab‘s focus on anomaly detection and baselining. He has over 15 years of expertise in leading complex software projects and designing complex distributed applications. Salvatore has domain expertise in cross-platform infrastructure development, in security protocols and infrastructure, in database technologies, and in mobile and web-based applications development. He holds a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Milan and a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Naples.
